Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility

One day in August Lee Shelby touched a primary conductor energized with more than 13,000 volts. Both hands were burned and amputated below his elbows. It forced an immediate transition to living a productive life using two prosthetic hooks for his hands.

Shelby had been trained as a utility company lineman. He understood the importance of job safety and the responsibility he had for his fellow linemen.
