Let me tell you the story about my bad day, and the effect it had on my life. Imagine going to work and losing both of your hands. August 12, 1991 started out as a typical Monday morning for me. I was employed by Memphis Light Gas and Water Division in Memphis Tennessee. I was employed as a lineman. On that Monday morning I suffered an occupational injury that would change my life forever. On that Monday morning during a routine job, one that I had done hundreds of times, I made a conscious choice to shortcut the safety regulations in a moment of complacency and laziness.
