Lee has a powerful story to share with all employees in any type of business. His ability to relate to people both in the workforce and management is exceptional. Lee’s story will leave a lasting impression on the importance of safety at work and in the home.

Lee lost his hands in an industrial accident. However he has accomplished more since his accident that most people will accomplish in a lifetime. If you want to motive your staff to use all of its potential, then you need to hire Lee to speak to your entire workforce.

I have seen and attended hundreds of safety talks and seminars in my career. I can honestly say that I have never see one person have such an impact on employees as Lee Shelby did in his 90-minute lecture. Lee makes the audience “feel” and “live” within his mind and body as he tells his story. We started our “Drive to Zero” in 2023 and Lee was the catalyst to help touch the hearts and minds of our employees as we strive for ZERO harm to our employees. Regardless of the language spoke in our USA or Mexico sites, Lee speaks the language of love, life, inspiration, and family, and how all that can change in seconds by taking a shortcut or not wearing your PPE.

I have listened to him speak several times now and his story resonates and touches each member of the audience. Mr. Shelby’s message on the consequences of workplace injuries has our employees thinking twice about how they perform tasks throughout their shift. He delivered an emotional journey of the day he was involved in a workplace incident and how it changed his life forever. During Mr. Shelby’s presentation I saw employees laugh, cry, and cringe. His presentation at the event was spectacular! The audience was overwhelmed upon hearing his story. Not only did he discuss the on-the-job situation and the changes it had on his life, he gave insight as to the “ripple effect” and how many other lives and families were impacted and altered because of one moment in time.
